Social Networking: A Purposeful Loss of Privacy

I will be writing about the issues of social networking on privacy. We now live in an age in which everyone is involved with some form of social media. To name a few forms of popular social media, there is Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and Youtube. These different platforms of social media have been a convenient way to stay connected with one another, however, with great pros also comes great cons. The biggest con that I will be discussing is our treasured privacy. According to Merriam-Webster, privacy is defined by freedom from unauthorized intrusion. After using these various forms of social media for most of my life, I have noticed that my privacy is not respected. There will be moments of unauthorized intrusion that can make anyone feel uncomfortable.

  1. Jesse,
I think that topic you have selected is very critical and important. Person's identity is the most important thing, however the understanding of the identity was shifted once social networking became super popular. Also the privacy is not secured once you out there.
Good luck on your project, it will be very interesting, I can feel it.
